Parting Ways With Strangers
I am always a little bit sad to part ways with the strangers I’ve been following (creepy, I mean — strangers that I’ve shared paths with). This morning when I was walking down Greene street, I had to mentally say good bye to a young woman that only existed in my peripheral vision, on the opposite side of the street which we marched in synchronized strides for five blocks. She made a left on Broome and I made a right turn. This is in no way a missed connection w4w on Craigslist because I’m 100% sure no shit was given on her end, plus it was not a missed nor connected passing of time, but it was a tad bit melancholic for me for some strange reason. Whatever, I am allowed to have my Sophie Calle moments, then the Miranda July in my brain tries to take credit for it.
